I Blog For Human Rights
In Bolivia people who commit a crime sometimes aren't taken to a judge, they are taken to jail and left there until the authorities decide that it's time for them to go upon a judge, this could take days or even weeks.
When people are gathered to do a pacific demonstration, the police can come and throw tear gas if they decide to do it, or they can fire their guns against people who aren't armed and have no way to defend themselves. They even do this if children are around. Many children have died and gotten injured in "pacific" demonstrations.
Sometimes kids who write on walls saying something that the government doesn't agree with, are taken to jail and charged with sedition.
When you drive around in any city in Bolivia you can see children working to earn a few cents, they come and wash your windshield or they are in the middle of the street doing some kind of act, so that the people give them money, instead of being in school or taken care by an adult.
This things happen daily in my country, that is why my husband and I have formed a foundation to help, in any way we can, the Bolivian people, and especially the children. We haven't been able to start doing anything yet, because we are waiting on some paperwork, but I can't wait to get the foundation up and running, so that we can start helping the Bolivian people in need.
